Provider-Prescribed Programs — Help Guide

Provider-Prescribed Programs provide a structured, clinician-guided listening plan inside Lace AI Pro. Instead of choosing exercises each day, patients follow a clear, goal-driven path designed to improve specific listening challenges.

Programs combine:

  • Targeted training lessons

  • Daily Tips (Learn content)

  • A clear “Up Next” experience

This approach helps patients stay consistent, reduces decision fatigue, and supports better outcomes.

What Is a Provider-Prescribed Program?

A Provider-Prescribed Program is a daily listening plan prescribed by a clinician (or selected during setup) that:

  • Focuses on a specific hearing challenge

  • Guides the patient through training in the right order

  • Ensures enough exposure (“dosage”) to be effective

Programs do not limit access to the app. Patients can still explore other training or content outside the program if they choose.

Available Program Types

Each program emphasizes a different listening skill:

  • General Listening Skills
A balanced program for overall listening improvement.

  • Trouble Hearing in Noisy Environments
Focuses on understanding speech with background noise.

  • Struggling with Fast Talkers
Emphasizes processing rapid or unclear speech.

  • Memory & Cognition
Targets working memory and comprehension skills that support listening.

  • No Program
Patients train freely without a structured plan.

What Happens During a Program?

Each day includes:

  • Training lessons aligned to the program goal

  • Tips videos that explain strategies and best practices

  • A clear “Day Complete” moment when everything is finished

Patients always know:

  • What they need to do next

  • How far they’ve progressed

  • What’s coming up

Can Program Settings Be Changed?

Yes — clinicians can:

  • Change the program type

  • Adjust the duration

  • Remove non-primary lesson types

Primary lesson types cannot be removed to ensure effectiveness.

What If a Patient Chooses “No Program”?

When no program is selected:

  • Patients train freely as before

  • There is no required order

  • Tips and lessons are optional

Programs are recommended because they:

  • Improve consistency

  • Reduce confusion

  • Help patients reach goals faster
