How to Send a Familiar Voice Invitation

LACE allows you to invite a loved one to record their voice, so you can train with someone familiar. Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Invite a Loved One

1. Navigate to the My Voices section from your Home screen.

2. Tap Invite a Loved One via Text or Email.

3. Enter their Phone Number or Email Address.

4. They will receive a message with a link to record their voice.
   
   

What Your Loved One Will See: How to Record Their Voice

Step 1: Intro

• Enter their Name.

• Optionally upload a Photo (this will be shown during your training).

• Tap Continue.

Step 2: Setup Instructions

They’ll see a checklist to prepare for recording:

• Turn volume up.

• Disable silent mode.

• Allow microphone access when prompted.

• Tap Continue.

Step 3: Record

• Speak clearly and at a slightly louder volume than normal.

• Tap the microphone button to begin recording.

• Read the script shown on screen.

• Record for at least 30 seconds.

• Tap the stop button when finished.

• Tap Continue.

Step 4: Review & Submit

• Press Play to listen to the recording.

• If satisfied, accept the Terms & Conditions.

• Tap Finish to submit the recording.

• They’ll see a Thank You message, and the voice will begin processing.

Important Notes

• If the user taps “Back” and starts a new recording, the previous recording will be deleted.

• The invitation link can be reused if they don’t finish the first time.
